The government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland condemns the coup by Golden Dawn in Greece (Athens), and recognizes it to be a vicious act. We do not tolerate such a group and believe that it is doing nothing but amplifying the current economic crisis and taking advantage of it. We stand by the side of the legitimate officially elected Greek government led by Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, both economically and military. The UK government urges a meeting with France and Germany in order to establish a group of economy experts to be sent to Greece, Thessaloniki to come up with a viable solution.
