PKK clashes with armed police in Hakkari

The PKK and Turkish armed police have been fighting where both sides suffered casualties. PKK members were killed with more being detained. Armed police were tipped off about an attack on police stations in Hakkari similar to those 5 years ago. According to a PKK spokesperson their recent motivation was due to "suppression of civil liberties".
