PKK is leading charge for Kurdish independence. Kurdish opinion is split
The Kurds in Turkey have been the main focus over the last few weeks from being the most heavily suffered populace over the course of the multiple crises that have happened in its wake. Although the Turkish government has issued a state of emergency and has urged for calm, a number of Kurds, including those who form the PKK have pushed for Kurdish independence - an issue that has always come and gone in previous years, but following several devastating attacks which have concerned and organised the Kurds, this rush for independence may seem more promising.
