Press Release: More German Rhetoric about Refugees

The recent events and acts of PEGIDA are a shame for Germany and its government. It shows that we failed to some extent to integrate refugees in our country. Yet , the events in England show that this is not just a German problem, but a wider problem in the current Europe, due to clashes in the population, defiant of the capacity of migrants to integrate. This is no excuse for the acts of violence against refugees, and PEGIDA and all the other bodies of the same kind shall be regarded by the government as criminal organisations, without any legal existence. They will be forbidden, and police will work on arresting all people promoting such acts. Refugees should not be scared of Germany. Despite such bodies, Germany is a country of welcome and acceptance for people willing to work for it. PEGIDA is not Germany, it is barely its worst side, fueled by hatred and ignorance, such values being incompatible with our country. To all German or foreign citizens considering joining their ranks, give up on that or face the consequences. We also want to express our grieving the family of the refugees that have been killed, and we want them to know we'll go to the all the length possible to avoid this happening again. Education about difference and togetherness will be implemented in all willing schools. Police officers will be trained to deal with the special problems that refugees may encounter and the government and federal authorities will work closer with already existing associations to defend the rights of migrants.
