Joint Press Release from Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania
The Governments of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania are proud to announce the formation of a politico-economic union of their respective states, the Baltic Union. The Union will help our nations to coordinate policies, especially with regards to defence and the rare-earth metals within our nations. The Baltic Union will not affect our individual sovereignty, as it is based off the example of Benelux, thus meaning that the governments of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania shall still be represented individually on international bodies. The founding article of the Baltic Union shall be reviewed in fifty years’ time.
We look forward to further cooperation with the nations of the world.
