The government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is glad to hear that Operation Sunset was a success. This is a victory for all the friends of democracy. Nevertheless, we are concerned about the vacuum of power in Greece after the seizing of Golden Dawn members holding power. The UK calls the UN to hold free democratic elections in Greece, by which the people of the Hellenic Republic will be able to express their choices regarding their government, and that choice shall be respected.
