The British Armed forces have successfully retaken the island of Cyprus, after a campaign cut short by heavy rain, weather that the Hellenic units were simply unable to cope with, and surrendered to the British Welsh Guards, who were clearly more able to deal with it than their Hellenic Counterparts.
The American Armed forces have won a major battle around the city of Sparta, and have seemingly caused the Hellenic Armed forces to retreat from the Peloponnese Peninsula. US forces have been reinforced by a tank deployment of close to 1,000 Main Battle Tanks of the Abrams A1M1 and A1M2 varieties, with a mere 126 soldiers killed during the campaign thus far, compared to unknown, but believed to be severe casualties on the Hellenic side. Civilian casualties have sadly occurred, with a F/A-18 E 'mistakenly' bombing a Job Centre, with 31 people killed and 60 wounded. The invaders have been mainly accepted by the locals, although some outbursts of anti-US violence have broken out, with martial law being declared in Argos.
