The USA has begun its final assault on Athens. Co-ordinated airstrikes have destroyed the main power stations, before a combined ground and air assault swept into the city from two sides. American Armoured units have struggled in some areas, with 20 Abrams tanks and 50 Bradleys destroyed. The anti-tank capabilities of the Hellenic army has led many to infer that Hellenic forces have been obtaining advanced equipment from unknown sources.
The leaders of Golden Dawn have been captured alive by US Army Rangers. An errant missile strike has completely destroyed the acropolis temple complex.
